A European first for Capellia with the Chinese Female Circus The magic of the circus is still intact. Particularly for the many young spectators on Friday evening.. Families had the benefit of special family tickets on sale for this show. For 245F a family with 3 children in fact paid only 50F per person. A gift… Particularly because this event was such a big one. An international premiere for the troupe of Mrs. Ni in La Chapelle. This was the first of 34 dates of the French tour. The programme promised one and a half hours of reverie, More than that, the twenty young Chinese women brought ninety minutes of intense pleasure to the 800 spectators.
It was a voyage to the land of grace, elegance and acrobatic perfection. A ballet where the human body is totally dedicated to the arts while conserving all its beauty. A marriage of lighting, traditional music and choreography inspired by the high plateaux of Tibet and wonderful costumes. Ninety minutes wandering through the heart of some exotic garden surrounded by ‘Lotus Flowers’ accompanied by ‘Fairies from the Tang dynasty’ and’ The witches of the Mountains’.
The audience was wild with enthusiasm. Particularly following a number featuring the three youngest girls ( aged just 10 ) the cream of the Pekin Acrobatic School. Following the French tour, the troupe goes on to tour Spain, but those present Friday evening can take pleasure in the knowledge that they were the first in Europe to applaud this wonderful show. |
