Born in the mysterious land of Connemara, Celtic Legends presents an authentic insight into the world of traditional Irish culture.

These young artistes , hailing from Galway, Dublin, Belfast... bring together the frantic tempos of Tap, the pure grace of dance and the enchanting melodies of the music for which Ireland has become so well known, in a show lasting for over two hours.

The dance and the music open the doors to a wonderful voyage into the heart of Ireland's culture.

Traditional and unique, Irish Tap Dance has its origins in the long history of that country, but its spirit is as strong in these modern times as in the mist shrouded past. Ask any Irishman and he'll explain it all, though his answer may well be different to that of his neighbour!

Backed by a highly talented five piece group under the musical direction of Fergal O' Merchu, the dances of Celtic Legends are choreographed by Ger Hayes who in an earlier career was dancer, later becoming lead dancer in the Lord Of The Dance show.

Fergal O' Merchu, a fervent ambassador for Irish music throughout the world, has, since the age of twenty eight, been involved in a multitude of stage and recording projects and at this time, is producer of several Irish spectaculars.

The musicians working alongside Fergal all come from an Irish folk music background. This highly talented group has charmed many an audience in the years since its formation.
